To one of the sage’s of our “RE.net” community and his family – your healing fight is supported by not only those like me who you have personally touched with your warm and caring soul, but also those who support us and can see the impact you clearly have on so many. May our collective thoughts and prayers provide you comfort and healing.

Have never met Joe, but Jay’s blog conveyed enough to me to know that Joe is a special guy and want to wish him and his family the very best.

Joe inspires thousands and has a huge following of loyal friends, readers–and students. He’s also a scrapper, and I’d put money on him beating this demon.

We’re here for you Joe and Sandra.

I have never had the pleasure of meeting Joe…but I have talked with him numerous times online via Twitter, FB, and through comments on blog posts.

I have had the misfortune of seeing many people that I care about head down the same road that you have to now…and it saddens me to no end to hear of your current situation.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sheesh … I go months without having Indian lunch with Joe in Manhattan and *this* happens…. Sandra: I hope you can see how the Big Bad ‘Net has a warm spot in its heart for Your Joe. May peace be upon you, and health return to Joe.

I wish I had the right words. You’re a great guy Joe. My numerous trips to NYC and SF would have been much less eventful without the moments we shared, either talking deep over breakfast about the future of the industry, or just laughing on what would have been otherwise boring cab and bus rides. I’m praying for you my friend…praying we can do it all again. I am thinking of you.
Your Friend,
Mike

I simply can’t bear this news! I have met Joe a number of times, and laughed and joked and debated and…Joe is one of our time’s GREAT ordinary men, who personifies the best of our industry. I pray for his speedy recovery and for Sandra – may you have strength, imagination and resolve! God speed!!

Kindly, inform me of an alternative way of helping that does not involve online transactions.

Thank you.

Very sorry to have lost you Joe. You always kept me honest and on my toes, and I will miss our spirited debates.

I feel your pain. I lost my aunt to cancer and know how wretched the disease can be. Be weak, be real, feel your feelings, allow the healing, honor the memories and you’ll find yourself moving forward.

Sandra, please accept my condolences. Joe was a great man and a great friend. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you and your get through this awful time.

I’m going to miss Joe a great deal. His insights and advice for me over the few years that I was fortunate enough to know him have been invaluable. His warmth and generosity serve as a great example of how to be.
